Sean Lane and the Hellhounds' music is provocative, bold and above all, unique. What seperates this group from other blues bands is the depth, range, and realism of the songs. From early delta blues to contemporary blues-rock, each song has it's own voice, character, and energy. In addition, the songs go beyond traditional arrangments and themes while still embracing the essence of authentic blues.
-The Musicians-
The Hellhounds began in 1991 as a trio with Ryan Gomez on Bass and Bill Reintanz on drums backing up Sean's acoustic music. Over time the band became more and more possesed by the raw energy created on stage and began to develop a more rock-oriented style.
The band was strong and full of life but a crucial element was missing. When Darren Lancaster joined the band in 1998 his harmonica added the soulful, rootsy sound the band needed. After seasoned drummer, Jon Poli, took over the reins on drums the Hellhounds were complete and ready to "ride the blinds".
